Em Love opening her presents. And surprisingly enough she did fairly descent. She didn't really understand the concept but she did better at it than I thought she would. It was a fun morning though.

Em loved the ribbon! I should of just given her ribbon, she would have been completely satisfied! Our little cutie!

As you can see, we all did extremely well. We must have been extra good this year! At least when Santa was watching... guess he will never know what happened behind His back....HAHAHA

Ok So my Mom got a SWEET bike for Christmas! It is a cruiser so that is why we all went outside to ride the bike! It was kind of a new thing for us Idaho folk. We have all gotten bikes before for Christmas but were never able to go out and ride them as soon as we saw them under the tree! Who new that you could actually do summer activities in December! Gotta love Arizona!!

The girls and I decided to do something special for my Dad. He loves the Hymn If You Could Hie To Kolob, so we decided to practice it up for him and sing it to him. So this was our Christmas present to him. Love you Daddy!

CHRISTMAS Later Morning AKA 9:00 AM

Brother Nichols from the Bishopric in our ward invited our family, and the missionaries in the area to come over for breakfast. We had a mexican breakfast, another first. It wasn't half bad though, I must say! Em was so tired from our extremely early morning so she was out cold! Party animal! Look at us we are so good at candid shots. We all look funny! My favorite is Rob though! HEHEHE

This is my family and the Elders that went to breakfast with us. These Elders are so great. Three of them are my Dad's Assistants and then the other two are Zone Leaders. Starting with me, Elder Christiansen, Rob, Elder I can't remember his last name, Elder Hilton (VERY TALL), Mom, Dad, Amy Elder Jenkins, Angela, and Elder Minon. Elder Christenson, Elder Hilton, and Elder Jenkins are my Dad's AP's. It was a fun morning.

CHRISTMAS DAY

Emily pretty much just played with her toys all day. We had all my Dad's family over for the rest of the day and had a big party. It was really great! I love family get-togethers. I especially miss having my Grandpa around for the holidays. It has been so great to have him around for these holidays. I love you Grandpa! It's so great because Grandpa loves loves loves Emily. He will just watch her and when Emily does something he laughs at her and tells everyone about what Emily did. My Grandpa is so sweet and kind. He finds a lot of fun and happiness in Emily. And Emily is more and more all the time liking Grandpa too!

This post is a tribute to my sweet daughter Emily Kate. Emily has just recently turned 6 months. It is so hard to believe that she is growing so fast. I love spending everyday with my little miracle. She truly is sweet and precious. Emily is very smart and is reaching many milestones. She started sitting by herself at 5 months with no support. She is well on her way to eating regular food instead of having a liquid only diet. She loves to play with her toys and is always looking for something else that she can learn about. She loves to intensely examine things and learn all she can about everything. She is a very sweet baby and very patient. She and I are very close, she is definitely a little Momma's Girl! We do everything together and she is such a wonderful baby! She is amazing! I love to watch her grow and learn everyday! She is our happiness and my life. I can't imagine my life without my Sweet Emily Kate! She is my joy! I love you Emy! And always remember your Momma and Daddy love you!

I know it has been a week or so since I have updated my blog. But hey, I am doing a million times better than I used to at this blogging thing. I am sure I owe most of my success to my Mom because she is always wanting to see our sweet Emily. So thank you Mom and Andy for inspiring me and encouraging me to blog.

Well, here are some recent pictures of Emily. I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is so sweet. We are so grateful and blessed to have her. Our family is doing well, and we are all happy. It's a wonderful life!

On Saturday we went to the park with our friends Jonathon and Jewels and played tennis. Well, Kevin Jonathon and Jewels played tennis, I stayed with Emily on the picnic blanket, since I am not such a tennis player and they are like pros. It was fun though to get out and be with Emily and watch tennis. Kevin had a wonderful time, he is really good and still loves the game.

First of all, I hope that everyone had an incredible Fourth of July. I know that we had a wonderful time with family. There are a lot of pictures in this post so I hope that everyone enjoys. I hope that I can get better at taking pictures and taking them more frequently. I will work on that! :) Kevin's family came into town to celebrate the 4th. We really enjoyed having them here. Hey Everyone, sorry there has not been any photos recently. We temporarily lost our camera, but now that it is i found we have pictures to share! :) Happy Day! I am trying so hard to be good at updating everyone on our sweet baby girl. As you all know I am horrible at blogging but I will give it my best shot. Emily is now 3 weeks and 4 days old. My how my baby girl is growing up! To catch you up on her life so far here are some pictures.

My sweet baby girl! I love her so much! We are so lucky to have her, what a blessing she is to us! She is our little angel.

Emily had a bad case of jaundice. Here is Emily sunbathing in the window. It was so sad, she had to be on the billi blanket for 1 and 1/2 weeks. However she is fully recovered and is doing much better now. Thanks for all your prayers! Emily is doing great!

On June 20th ( Father's Day) Kevin blessed our little Emily with a name and a blessing. Here is Emily in the petticoat that her Great-Grandmother Hope made for all the great grandchildren to be blessed in. It is very special, thank you Grandma Hope!

Special day for our family. So grateful for Kevin and giving her the special blessing that he did. We are a happy family!

This is us with my sweet parents. They gave their farewell talks in church that day as well. Making it all that more special for our family. I sure will miss my parents but I know that they are serving the Lord and that the Lord will bless them and keep them. They are going to do an awesome job in the Mesa Mission. Thank you so much Mom and Dad for being obedient servants of the Lord. I appreciate your example to serve! Horrah for Israel!

Kevin's best friend Matt came to Emily's blessing. We are so grateful for him and his efforts to support our family. Good friends are priceless.

ya so it has been like forever to update this thing but it has been done!!! Presenting the newest addition to the family... Emily Kate Hicks. cute eh?? anyway we love her so much and are very happy to have her here with us. she was born on june 4th at 6:48pm. she weighed 8 pds and 19 in long.
Ashley is feeling great and recovering well. the baby is also doing well, she does have some jaundice but she is overcoming that nicely, we will be happy with the blanket is gone. i hope you enjoy the pictures. we love her too.

SHOCKING! I know, I am actually updating this thing. :)

This is kinda gonna be backwards because that is just how it happened, but at least they are new and updated pics! I guess this is as good as its gonna get! Hope you all enjoy!

Kevin and I just celebrated our one year anniversary! Sometimes I look back and can't believe we did it but we are here, Kevin is still a live and has not died yet so that is a definite plus! It been a crazy ride so we went to Lagoon to do some more crazy riding, we fit right in. The rollercoasters seemed much like our life together, but I would not trade it for anything! It has been amazing and The Lord has blessed us so much in ways I never thought he would. I am so grateful I get to spend forever with Kevin, I love him! I Love you BABY!!!

This is the "THIS IS THE PLACE" monument! I have no clue who those people are standing in front but they look pretty good huh?! It was really cool, neither of us had ever been here before. Very cool monument!

Kevin had never been to a zoo until a little while ago and now he has been to two. For a day while we were in Salt Lake we went to the Hogle Zoo. When I was there memories just flooded my mind. My Uncle Reg used to take us to the zoo when we were younger and visiting him. Good times. Fun Zoo. Again we fit in just right, oh maybe I am thinking of the funny farm. Oh Well.

This us in our hotel for our anniversary. It was pretty nice. It had a living area, and the bedroom was in a seperate room then a fully stocked kitchen. My sister scared me when she told me her experiences of these kinds of hotels. But it worked out great! I was very pleased with it.

ITS BEEN A WHILE

Hey Everyone! Wow I haven't posted anything for a long time. Well, just a little recap, Christmas was Amazing! It was by far the best Christmas I had ever had, because I had my honey with me for the first time. It was great! We spent our Christmas with my parents in Carey. It was so much fun, we went snowmobiling and swimming in the hot spring and all sorts of fun stuff. We ate tons of food thanks to my amazing momma who cooks like crazy! It was great Kevin gained 5 pounds but it didn't take him very long to lose it....Skinny boy! Anyways, our break was amazing and now we are back in life working and going to school. Life is crazy but so much fun! Kevin and I are doing so good, we are loving our lives and our life that we share.

1 Week and 1 Day til Christmas!

Christmas is Coming! The semester is over! HALLELUJIA!! Kevin and I have been working since school got out on the 12th. It has been beautiful! We are just enjoying the snow and having fun and working a lot! Life is good and so much fun! We are both very excited to be spending Christmas at my house this year, I am especially excited for Christmas this year. 1- It is our first Christmas together and it is going to be amazing! Kevin makes me so happy and every day is better than the one before. Just when I think it can't get any better than this he surprises me and it does get even more better!!! I love it! 2- There is a brother of mine that I have not seen since my wedding which was four months ago. Yesterday Kevin and I celebrated our 4 month anniversary! And we are still very much in LOVE! :) Anyways, I am really excited to see Robbie it will be good to be with family and friends. However, I am going to miss my favorite older sister! Andy will not be with us but I understand she needs to have her little baby girl! I am gonna be an Auntie again!! Yay!!! Anyways, I hope everyone is having a very Merry Christmas and that you are enjoying all the little moments that make up the spirit and amazing Holiday Season! We are for sure enjoying it! Merry Christmas!

So last week I got really brave and cut my hair. It is very different than what I used to that is for sure. But it is a fun change. I cut 7 inches off which to me is quite a bit. Anyways, so here is my new look. :) I like it! And even better Kevin likes it alot! ;)

Sickness is NO BUENO!!

So Monday morning at about 4 AM Kevin decides to be sick and spends the rest of the night throwing up in the bathroom. I of course being the good wife I am...jk got up with him each time to make sure he was ok. That morning I told him he couldn't go to school. I got our amazing neighbors to come over and give him a blessing. They left and I contacted his teachers and told them Kevin would not be in class today. Little did I know was that I would soon have to call in sick to work. About 9 AM I am starting to feel awful! I called in sick to my work and Kevin and I layed in bed all day throwing up and being miserable together. It was such an awful day. That day I passed out about 11 times. I hit my head twice which 2 out of 11 is not so bad I guess, it could have been worse. I went into one of my episodes and life was not so happy. Thankfully I have an amazing husband that takes really good care of me and loves me even when I am not conscious. I love him so much. Anyways, he started feeling better but it was pretty rediculous it was the dead taking care of the dead there for a while. Thankfully, we are both doing much better and all is well. Just don't get the flu it is so awful. Well, that was our exciting last few days. :)

Christmas is coming and can I just tell everyone how excited I am for Christmas this year!!!! This will be one to remember.... it is our First Christmas together! Happy Time! I am so excited for Kevin to be done with school and I am excited to get a break from work! Christmas is going to be amazing and we are so excited for it. We will be in Carey this year and hopefully there will be snow so we can go snowmobiling. This Christmas season has just been one of the best for me... probably because I have the love of my life with me this year. Anyways, I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas! Thanksgiving was an amazing time to be with family and friends. We went to Michelle Apples (hicks) house to have a great time. she fed us food and we played with the kids. i guess that is an even trade ;) well this is us making the food. Michelle made her first turkey and she didn't even burn it or anything!!! i almost didn't believe it. o.k. so i am joking a little. it was such a good time. we even got an exercise chasing those crazy kids of hers.

Vacation Time

Well, we are just so excited for Thanksgiving. Kevin only has one more day of school and then we are out of here! We are gonna have the best break ever!! We are so excited for the holiday season this year. We will be spending Thanksgiving with Kevin's sister, Michelle, in Nampa. Then we will spend Christmas in Carey with my family. We are so thrilled to get together with family and friends! Oh Life is so GOOD!!! Life is hard but that makes it that much more worth it. We wish that everyone else has just as amazing Thanksgiving and Holiday Season as we are going to have! Life is good and happy! I would just like to say that I am so grateful for my wonderful husband this time of year! He is my life and the one that makes me happier than anything! He is my family now! HAPPY DAY!!! Kevin's Hosptial Visit

On our way home from our amazing honeymoon. Kevin decides to get sick and almost DIE! On the plane he started throwing up blood which is never a good thing. Anyways, to make a long story short... Kevin overdosed on Naproxium Sodium.... 6 times the amount he was supposed to take. It caused an olser in his stomach that ate away into an artery and was losing blood. He lost just over half of his blood hence we were in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake for 2 days in the ICU and 2 more days in a room. It was so crazy!

Moral to this Story..... DO NOT OVERDOSE ON NAPROXIUM SODIUM.... OR ANY DRUG FOR THAT MATTER... especially after being married for only a week.. It's not fun. We Promise!

Honeymoon In Tampa Florida!

For our Honeymoon Keving surprised me and took me somewhere I never expected in a million years! He took me to Tampa, Florida! We had a blast! Kevin didn't tell me where we were going until we were in the airport and he handed me my boarding pass. I was shocked! When we got to Tampa we found out that Hurricane Fay was coming in, so that was interesting but we still had really nice weather. We were able to go out on the beach everyday and play in the ocean. This was Kevin's first time being to a warm beach. We were able to swim with dolphins and we got to see lots of sting rays. The sting rays were in their mating season so they came to the shallow of the beach. It was super cool. We also were able to witness a tropical storm. It was quite the adventure for both of us. The beach was right outside the hotel, and we ate super good each night. The food was amazing! We really want to go back someday! We had so much fun!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN!!!

This year Kevin turned 21 years old. OLDIE MOLDIE!! Just kidding. For his birthday I decided to have a surprise birthday party. I invited all of his friends and family. I borrowed a bbq grill from his brother and we grilled hamburgers and had a picnic in our small but fun lawn. I was successful in surprising Kevin, but he was also successful in surprising all of us as well. He showed up early for his birthday party that he didn't know he was having, and we were not quite ready for him.... It was fun anyways. We had a really good time, and made a wonderful memory. I almost burned down the grill and set off the smoke alarm in my house, even though I was outside grilling..... I know.....SAD! so that was interesting, let's just say I am never to use the grill again! Kevin had fun lighting his candles with a lighter, while wearing his John Deere shirt.... what a red neck birthday! It was fun though! :)

Kevin and I began our new life together. We were married in the Idaho Falls Temple at 7:30AM. Early, I know. We had a beautiful and wonderful wedding, surrounded by many family and friends. It was the best day of our lives. After the wedding we had a luncheon that included our families and close friends. That same night we had our reception in Carey, Idaho at my parent's house. It was so beautiful and we could not have asked for a better day to have it. Many people came and showed their love and support for us. That night we left for our honeymoon. We spent the night in Burley, Idaho at a Super 8, romantic I know... We woke up at 5Am and drove to Salt Lake City, Utah. When we got to the airport Kevin then told me that we would be spending the rest of our honeymoon in Tampa, Florida! I never would have guessed, I was shocked!!! We spent an amazing week in Tampa and had the best honeymoon ever!
